About Us

Young Africans for Peace and Development (YAPAD) is a youth and women-led nonprofit organization operating across Kenya and Ethiopia. Established in 2019, YAPAD empowers communities affected by conflict, underdevelopment, and inequality by promoting peace, social cohesion, and sustainable livelihoods. With active offices in Nairobi, Mandera, Moyale, and Jigjiga, YAPAD works to unite youth, women, and stakeholders to build a resilient and peaceful Horn of Africa.
